PROTOCOLS
WHAT ARE CERTIFIED TREATMENT PROTOCOLS?
Only correct patient evaluation and sound treatment methodology can assure improved treatment outcomes. The NMT Concept step-by-step training process covering Prerequisite and Specialized techniques and clear-cut treatment principals will give professional therapists unique skills in obtaining better results.
The curriculum training program covers the following certified treatment protocols:
NMTC-KR#1 Knee replacement
The three-phase NeuroMuscular Taping treatment protocol, specifically designed to improve drainage of edema and hematoma in the acute post surgery phase is covered. Applications reduce adhesions around scar tissue and improve mobility. They also promote patient rehabilitation for recovery of normal walking patterns.
NMTC-ACL#1 Post Knee surgery ACL
The three-phase NeuroMuscular Taping treatment protocol, specifically designed to improve drainage of edema and hematoma in the acute post surgery phase is covered. Applications reduce adhesions around scar tissue and improve mobility. They also promote patient rehabilitation for recovery of normal walking patterns.
NMTC-PT#1 Patellar tendonitis
These NeuroMuscular Taping treatments are specifically for pain, inflammation and muscle/tendon rigidity. Therapy for localized edema is also covered.
NMTC-LH#1 Lumbar hernia
The three-phase NeuroMuscular Taping treatment protocol covers acute, post acute and functional aspects of lumbar hernia. After surgery applications reduce adhesions around scar tissue and improve mobility. They also promote patient rehabilitation for recovery of normal walking patterns.
NMTC-GS#1 Post shoulder surgery
The three-phase NeuroMuscular Taping treatment protocol covers acute, post acute and functional aspects. After surgery applications reduce adhesions around scar tissue and improve mobility.
NMTC-HV#1 Post hallux valgus surgery
The two-phase NeuroMuscular Taping treatment protocol covers acute and functional aspects. After surgery applications reduce adhesions around scar tissue, reduce pain, reduce localized edema and improve mobility for recovery of normal walking patterns.
Advanced training programs
Advanced training programs include “certified treatment programs” specific for certain conditions whereas “treatment protocols” are individual treatments. Advanced training covers some of the following certified treatment programs:
Post-stroke management
These NeuroMuscular Taping treatments are specifically for pain, muscle rigidity, muscle spasm, localized edema, shoulder subluxation, knee hyperextension and improvement of posture and walking dynamics
Breast surgery
These NeuroMuscular Taping treatments are especially for lymphedema and chronic fibrosis of the upper limb. Protocols are covered for reduction of scar tissue adhesions and normalization of local sensitivity often highly altered due to extensive scarring. Improvement of local blood circulation and lymphatic drainage is also covered.
Hip replacement
These NeuroMuscular Taping treatments specifically improve drainage of edema and hematoma in the acute post surgery phase. Applications reduce adhesions around scar tissue and improve mobility for rehabilitation and recovery of normal walking patterns.
Tibial fracture
These NeuroMuscular Taping treatments specifically reduce edema and hematoma in an acute post surgery phase and during initial immobilization.
Carpal tunnel syndrome
The acute and functional phases of these NeuroMuscular Taping treatments, specifically applied to both surgical and non-surgical situations will be outlined.
Arthritis of the knee
Acute and functional phases of NeuroMuscular Taping treatments specifically in non-surgical situations will be outlined to reduce pain while maintaining autonomy and joint stability.
Hand surgery rehabilitation
These NeuroMuscular Taping treatments specifically improve drainage of edema and hematoma in the acute post surgery phase. Applications reduce adhesions around scar tissue, improve mobility and aid rehabilitation.
Post-cancer care and physical rehabilitation
These NeuroMuscular Taping treatments, specifically for alleviating pain, muscle rigidity, muscle spasm, localized edema and for treatment of car tissue are covered.
Parkinson’s Disease
NeuroMuscular Taping treatments specifically for pain, muscle rigidity, muscle spasm, and postural control are covered.
Multiple sclerosis
These NeuroMuscular Taping treatments are specifically for pain, muscle rigidity, muscle spasm, and postural control, improvement of walking ability and overall autonomy are also achieved.
